Christmas Eve 2015, December 24th
Waiting for Nani
IMG nursery
Her clothes are washed…oh! I need to throw them in the dryer…OK,
besides putting her new socks and mittens away, Baby Nani in utero is all set
for living outside the womb! The house is unpacked, cleaned, warmed by friends
and family, and dishes are being kept up, whew! I can’t wait for little Nani to
be here. I want to hold her and show her how our family does life. I feel like
my water can break any minute and was nervous yesterday when I was shopping in
public that I would just *goosh * all
over aisle 14.

The past few weeks
we have been busy moving, unpacking, and nesting.
IMG – new home
After scrubbing down
someone’s previous living quarters, my mom helped me focus on painting the
nursery.
IMG – mom painting
Kai and I Pinterested cherry blossom nurseries and came up
with our own version. Isn’t my mom talented!? If only I was more artistic…I
sponged some flowers on the wall though!
IMG – tree painting
IMG – bunny painting
My mom painting this little guy in about 10 minutes face
slap
I am particularly proud of her diaper drawer
IMG – diaper drawer
Diaper drawer. We plan on cloth diapering her most of the
time…we’ll see how that goes. Could save money and environment…con? We’re in a
drought :/
I’m feeling extra thankful tonight because Kai’s work is
catering on his Christmas shift tomorrow, so I have a night off of meal making.
I’ve been so tired and focused on other chores lately that it’s hard to fit
time in to make a good meal (he only deserves the best.)
Anyways, eggs benedict at 7am at the MIL’s…Better get to bed!
Goodnight <3
